Buffett's stake in Apple is noteworthy because Berkshire Hathaway has traditionally avoided technology stocks. Berkshare also boosted its position in IBM, quarterly SEC filings reveal.

Though Buffett didn't previously own shares in AAPL, he did weigh in on the company in 2013, saying he thought Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook should buy back more shares and build value. At the time, he compared buying back shares of Apple to purchasing a dollar valued at 80 cents.

Buffett also admitted at the time that Apple might carry "too much" cash. As of the end of last quarter, Apple had $233 billion, but 90 percent of it is held overseas.

Though Buffett bought in last quarter, shares of Apple reached their lowest levels in nearly two years last week, dipping briefly below $90. It's unknown how much the hedge fund manager owns as of today.

Munger on Friday gave no indication that technology was likely to be a focus.

Despite a recent large investment in International Business Machines Corp, the company has long been underweight in technology companies such as Apple Inc, in which it has no reported stake.

When asked if Berkshire may consider an investment in Apple, especially now that Apple's share price has tumbled in recent months, Munger said: "The whole world admires the achievements of Apple. On the other hand, you could hardly think of another business that is more un-Berkshire-like than Apple."

"We really hate trying to invent whole new, novel technologies, one after another. We wouldn't be as good at it as Apple is. So we're not trying to out-Apple Apple."

Berkshire prefers larger, easy-to-understand businesses with consistent earnings power, good returns on equity and strong management.

แค่อยากแจม ผมว่า app store กะ apple pay เป็นอะไรที่น่าสนใจมาก

app store มี switching cost ที่สูง ทำให้ hardware ยังขายได้
และ ตัว app store เป็น light asset ที่ก่อให้เกิดรายได้ที่ดี

ส่วน apple pay มันน่าจะเป็นผลพวงที่ส่งผล อีกเยอะในอนาคต
ทั้ง float ทั้งอำนาจต่อรอง ทีั้งกำไร ทั้งความเป็น light asset
ลองมโน ว่า มันมาแทน visa แล้วไม่อยากคิด ว่า apple จะได้ประโยชน์แค่ไหน
เพราะ habbit กะ life style คนมันเริ่ม ไปทางนั้นจริงๆแล้วด้วย

ผมมองว่า app store กับ hardware เป็น reflexivity กันและกันคับ ต่างขับดันกันเอง

ถ้าผมจำไม่ผิด สตีฟ เป็นคนหัวชนฝา ที่ไม่ยอมให้มี app store คับ
น่าจะเป็น เครดิต คนข้างหลัง ที่ทำให้ สตีฟ ยอมได้
