The  trend OF LIFESTYLE  is masstige(massive+prestige) now,who serve the trend wil get more market share.

Not expensive but look prestige.

Begin with masstige lifestyle, end up with "Buy CAWOW" ...   :lovl:

I guess many investors look at SET Index nowadays and the first word comes up in their mind is "Massacre" 555

Let's me give a comment about CAWOW as a possible customer.

My new employer offers a 1-year membership at Cali. Fitness. I have to pay only 2000 Baht for it. In this offer I have no interest at all coz I distaste the greedy way CAWOW runs business. Other fitness have a lot of customers without having to try that annoyingly. Moreover, its fitnesses have a notorious reputation as a meeting place for homo.
Well, I am not sexy and have nothing against their sexual orientation as long as I am not their target but if CAWOW management let these people harass other customers, they have failed to meet my investment expectation.

To me, Mr. David is a good Value Investor, who never changes his mind only because others disagree with him. So, I suggest you talk with management about this. I believe CAWOW is following the trend which could become a lifestyle somedays but there are many people had tried to follow a trend but finally fail to thrive. I hope CAWOW won't become one of those losers.

I can't remember how many years Buffett waited to buy Coca Cola. I am waiting for CAWOW too and hope not having to wait that long

Since the word "masstige" come from the words "mass" and "prestige".
Therefore, to answer the above question which I also curious to know, we have to answer these questions.

1. How could products become mass?

In my opinion, the products that could be able to become mass in the long run suppose to have at least two characteristics.
Firstly, Cheap comparing to its value. Secondly, necessities and suitable to people 's lifestyle.

2. How could products be looked prestige?
In my opinion, "prestige" might come from "modern" and "smart".
So, we shortly make the question to be which products that could make people to be looked "smart" and "modern" when consume them?

I would say that, even the simple products like "book" or "magazine" could be able to follow the masstige trend as well as the IT devices such as "Laptop" or "PDA phone".

To sum up, at least "SE-ED", "APRINT" and "IT" could be classified as the "masstige companies" in my opinion.

I 'm not so sure about iPod because we actually could listen to music
or radio even from the mobiles or modern thumb drive.

All of these functions should be combined to single device that suppose to have organizer, entertaining and communicate people or even take the photograph or record the video. Let 's say all in one and convenience to bring it around.

In short, masstige products must be affordable and at the same time make you look cool.

I did some research. It seems that there is a wide variety of masstige products. The list includes, for example, health products, cosmetic products, bottled water, footwear, leather goods, and personal IT devices.

The concept of "downward brand extension" is interesting. I have to admit that the concept is a good marketing strategy. I will have to watch out for this type of product.

Khun HVI has pointed out some companies in SET. I am thinking about MINOR whose business includes some comestic products and also fashion goods.

Once I 've found the marketing expert, let me ask you something.
I usually heard about "vertical extension" and also "horizontal extension" but not "downward brand extension".
For "downward brand extension", Can I say that the company try to sell
at lower price to make the product become massive
but they still need to maintain the brand to make the customers look cool?

On the other hand, for "upward brand extension", Can I say that the company try to create the brand and sell at higher price.
So, the company may get the higher margin but the sales will drop?

Oh o, I usually buy a stock at P/E<10. Either P drops or E raises will lower this ration. The first one is easier but I guess you don't like it
