1.1.Laos ....Chiangmai cannot compete 2 Luangprabang
         ....Pai ....................................Vangvieng
1.2.Cambodia.....Seamreap will share the tourists from central n northeeastern part of Thailand.(More airlines n flights r coming 2 Seamreap)
1.3.Vietnam.....Hui,Dalat,Hoian,Hanoi n Halong bay attract more n more tourists.
1.4.Singapore will have casino resorts in the near future,so will Tokyo.
1.5.Malaysia has a new city project in Yahor.
1.6.China....There will b an Olympic games in Beijing next year,this game will draw a lot of tourists from Thailand.After the game,China will b a top first 3 Asian countries 2 b visitted by the tourists all over the world.
1.7.Dubai....With the multi projects will b finish in the coming years.
2.The P/E of some of the stocks in the sector is too demanding.I won't b surprised if they will b underperform SET.

คงจะดูดออกไปในช่วงOlympics มีใครเคยทำวิจัยเรื่องนี้มั้ยครับ แบบว่าหลังจาก seoul จัด olympics ปี 88 แล้ว จำนวน tourist สูงขึ้นมากมาย ปัจจัยนี้คงต้องไปดูจำนวน tourist เปรียบเทียบปี 87กับปี89และหลังจากนั้น (ทุกๆ4ปีก็มีจัด olympics และ บอลโลก มันจะกระทบจริงๆหรือครับ)

ตัวนี้ที่ผมกลัวที่สุดครับรวมถึง resorts ในเกาะไหหลำด้วย เพราะผมดูว่ากลุ่มโรงแรมส่วนใหญ่คือรีสอร์ตอ่ะครับ

ดูอย่าง CENTEL ก็รีสอร์ต
ERAWAN นี่รายได้หลักมาจากกลุ่มนักธุรกิจ แต่โรงแรมหน้าๆที่จะเสร็จเป็นกลุ่มรีสอร์ตแอนด์สปา
MINT นี่อาจจะขยายไปในต่างประเทศต้องดูว่าจะไปที่ที่เป็นคู่แข่ไทยได้มั้ยแต่ก็เป็นรีสอร์ตอยู่ดี

กลุ่มนี้เป็นกลุ่มนักท่องเที่ยววัฒนธรรม หิ้วเป้ ตระเวนทั่ว ไม่ใช่ target ของกลุ่มโรงแรมที่อยู่ในตลาด อย่างไรก็ตามอาจจะกระทบกับ erawan ibis บ้าง แต่ไม่น่าจะมาก และลาวก็ไม่มีหาด ...ไม่มีรีสอร์ต

โปรเจค์ที่ Johor Bahru เป็นเมืองธุรกิจตั้งแข่งกับสิงคโปร์มีท่าเรือด้วย ไม่น่าจะใช่ leisure

ผมอาจจะมองในแง่ดีไปหน่อยนะครับ แต่ผมว่าที่คุณ david พูดมามันไม่กระทบกลุ่ม โรงแรมในตลาดหลักทรัพย์แหะ

อาจจะเพราะผมถือกลุ่ม โรงแรมอยู่มั้ง

Actually from AOT or BAFS website you can see the number of people going through the airport. From there, you can monitor the number of tourist.

Well, if you want to invest in sth, you need to have confidence in it. There are competition in every business but the stronger can win. You just have to know which one is the weak which one is the strong


BTW, CAWAW is strong but it would take a long time to get better

As long as government supports tourism, I think it is okay.  Just read newspaper yesterday about Thai government will have a road show all over asia to promote tourism in Thailand.

Thks a lot 4 sharing the valued ideas.
I,myself,have many wish countries 2 go(more than 30),so do the other people,but everyone has the limit of holidays,money,,,,,etc.,so they can go only 1 or 2 countries a year,though this is not the 100% substitution.
My comment is 4 the longer term when our neighbor countries have a more effective tourism authorities,the multi projects in Dubai,casino resort in Singapore,new Yohor city.The latest news is the waiting 4 the approval of  Vietnam 4 the resort city of the American company project which worth fourty billion baht.
