เศร้ามากครับ

เป็น DVD เรื่องเดียวที่ผมมี ที่ถึงอยากดูก็ไม่กล้าหยิบขึ้นมาดูซ้ำ
ดูหนเดียว ไม่ยอมดูอีกเลย ไม่ถูกกับหนังเศร้ามากๆ

เคยเห็นเค้าขาย Collection เป็น Box Set ของ Hayao Miyazaki ด้วย อยากจะซื้อมาเก็บเหมือนกันครับ

ผมลองค้นข้อมูลดูพบว่าการ์ตูนเรื่องนี้นำนิยายชื่อเดียวกันของ Akiyuki Nosaka มาใช้  โดยนิยายเขียนอิงประวัติของผู้เขียนเองที่สูญเสียน้องสาวไปเนื่องจากการขาดอาหารในระหว่างสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง โดย Nosaka รู้สึกว่าเป็นความผิดของตนเองที่น้องต้องตายและเขียนนิยายเพื่อขอโทษน้อง

ยิ่งรู้สึกเศร้าเพิ่มขึ้นครับ

Grave of the Fireflies (火垂るの墓, Hotaru no Haka?) is a 1988 anime movie written and directed by Isao Takahata for Studio Ghibli. It is an adaptation of the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Akiyuki Nosaka, intended as a personal apology to the author's own sister. Some critics (most notably Roger Ebert) consider it to be one of the most powerful anti-war movies ever made. Animation historian Ernest Rister compares the film to Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List and says, "it is the most profoundly human animated film I've ever seen."

Nosaka was born in 1930 in Kamakura, Kanagawa, the son of Sukeyuki Nosaka, who was a sub-governor of Niigata. Together with his sisters he grew up as an adopted child of Harimaya in Nada, Kobe, Hyogo. One of his sisters died as the result of a sickness, and his adoptive father died during the firebombing of Kobe in 1945. Another sister died by malnutrition in Fukui. Nosaka would later base his Grave of the Fireflies on these experiences. He is well-known for children's stories about war.

His Grave of the Fireflies and American Hijiki won the Naoki Prize in 1967.

His novel, The Pornographers, was translated into English by Michael Gallagher and published in 1968.

He was elected to the Japanese diet in 1973.

Nosaka suffered a stroke in 2003, and is currently struggling with the effects.
